Toyama engineering evolution from 1981 electromagnetic relays to modern smart home automation systems in Indian homes
Our Story

40+ Years of Engineering Excellence

From relays to smart homes — made in India, built for the future.

In 1981, Toyama Electric began by manufacturing electromagnetic relays for India's telecom revolution. Built in-house, built to last — our components powered the backbone of communication infrastructure for over a decade. That same commitment to design and engineering precision continues today across every smart home lighting control system we create.

The 90s

Becoming a Household Name in Switches

As India urbanized, we introduced a new standard for electrical switches. Toyama modular switches became synonymous with quality, design, and safety. We grew to be one of the top Indian brands in the category — not by chasing trends, but by setting them.

Our factories expanded. Our dealer network matured. Our brand became trusted in homes, offices, and institutions across the country.

2000s to Now

India's First Home Automation Company

Our shift from electrical to electronic was a natural one. Toyama introduced India to wired home automation before wireless solutions were widely known. We led with Zigbee, building robust networks for villas, apartments, and hotels.

Today, we build mesh-based smart systems that support dynamic scenes, real-time control, and smooth DALI dimming for residences — engineered for homes, not just houses.

We didn't adapt to the future — we built toward it.
